Dogs from the past - Retired Dogs

Ben 2006

Ben with pain in our hearts we had to let her go on June 6 2009.

Tjitste became that day Dutch Champion with Jay and Ellen stayed at home because things were not looking good for Ben.
We already knew that Ben's days had been counted for but it is always too early.

Ben was a great workdog but also in competitions he ment a lot to us!

- Dutch Champion Practice 2006, 2007 and 2008.
- European Champion 2006

Ben was a great pal in the house and helping Ellen with the animals outside. He also loved our couch.......

Lynn
Lynn has retired and enjoys a life at our home

Fan roepnaam Sita

Fan - petname Sita, born at 17-8-1982, bitch, black-white.

Sita was my first border collie. Here breeder was Paul Andrioli.
She was an excellent working dog.
May 1987 she and I won for the first time the Dutch Trialchampions.
In 1989 we where 3th at the Europeeen Championships in Switserland.
I was so proud at her.
Sita did here duty untill she got 10 years old. On here 14th she passed away.
I will miss this special old lady of mine.

Boy
My second dog was Boy born at 2 april 1988.

He was a black and white dog, bred by Jaap Zuidewind.
I needed a new dog because Sita became already 6 years old.
Boy was just 11 month when he became 3th at the Dutch Championships in Arnhem 1989.
He became second at the European Championships 1991 in the Netherlands.
He won the Europeeen Championships 1992 in Germany.
And in 1993 he became 3th at the Europeeen Championships in Switserland.
Boy died at 13 years old (2000).
His offspring will be a remembrance of this wonderful dog.
Megan
Megan was 9 weeks old when she came to me.

She was born at 7 february 1992.
Here breeder was Paul Andrioli. Megan worked very well at the flock.
Megan is the Mum of: Dan (a dog I kept for myself), Maiden ( from Annelies Nieukerken) & Glen ( from Johan de Jonge).
Also is Djef a son of Megan, Thor of Kees Kromhout & Joe of Mr. Johan de Jonge.
Dan

Dan the Big Saren is a three clour male, I bred for myself.

His sire: Orrin (van 't Laerhofstee uit Belgium) & dame: Megan.
He was born at 10 March 1995.
Dan the Big Saren lives now with Rene Maes from Belgium, where he compeets in the sub top of the trials.

Kate
Kate comes out the combination of Sita & Boy.

She was born at 22 july 1991.
Kate competed two times at the European Championships.
She sadly died in 2003.
Sil

Sil (Glaslyn Wil) comes out the combination Eryri Will X Bronwen.

Sil was born at 26 November 1995 in Wales.
Sil has won several titles on the sheep floating
He doesn't breed and works on the sheep anymore, because he is on age.
Sil is now living with my daughter for his pension.

Opale Dite Era

Opale Dite Era comes out the combination Sil (Glaslyn Wil)X Bwlch Ceri.

She was born at 29 January 1998 in Franche. She has several times joined the championships. Some of Era here litters are running on world level. She is now with the family Kremer for here pension.

Black King

Black King was bred by myself.

His sire is Ben & the dame is Opale Dite Era. Both parents are mentioned on this website. Kingwas born at 29 September 2002
He is sold in 2005 to Tomas Fajmon from Tjechie
King is working with sheep and cows, and used for the breeding.

Lady

Lady was bred by myself.

Here sire is Ben & the dame is Lynn (Zlynn from the kerry Hills).
Both parents become this site. Lady was born at 24 November 2004
She was active at the nursery trails. Lady died at 2007 by a car accident.

Bill

Bill was bred by myself.

His sire is Ben & the dame is Lynn (Zlynn from the kerry Hills).
Both parents are mentioned on this website.
Bill was born at 29 April 2003, deceased 29 Januar 2009.
With pain in my heart I had to say goodbye to my Bill. Allthough he was blind he still wanted to work and I tried to make that possible for him somehow.

Bill

Ben has retired.

After Tjitse and Ben became Dutch champion for the third time, it was a good moment for Ben to retire.

Ben stays with us as house-dog enyoing the couch.
Ben we hope you stay a long time with us!
